Trey Amick is a forensics investigator with a background in both law enforcement and corporate investigations. As a detective with the Rock Hill Police Department in South Carolina, Trey was sworn as a Special Deputy United States Marshal and supported the US Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force. Most recently, as a corporate investigator, Trey managed the Enterprise Cyber Education and Awareness Team at Capital One, where he also served as part of the Cyber Technical Investigations Team.
Rob Attoe is the CEO and Founder of Spyder Forensics. He has over two decades of experience developing and presenting training on Digital Forensics, Cyber Security, Mobile Forensics and eDiscovery education programs for the global digital investigations community. Having previously held the positions of Vice President of Training at Cellebrite, Senior Vice President of Global Training at Nuix and Director of Training at AccessData. He has also held positions as a Computer Crime Specialist with the National White Collar Crime Centre and with the UK’s Kent Police as a Forensic Analyst. As a long term member of the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS), Rob instructs regularly at the association’s annual conferences and is a lead instructor for the Advanced Windows Forensic course as well as regularly presenting at the premier international digital forensics conferences. Rob has contributed to digital forensic publications and is a subject matter expert to various course for the ATA program managed by the State Department in the USA.
Will Baggett is a Cyber Security Consultant and Fraud Examiner with expertise focused on the Digital Forensics/Insider Threat. He served as a CIA Technical Operations Officer during the Global War on Terror and later trained NATO SOF in cyber force protection overseas. He has collected and analyzed data from fatal vehicle incidents, US voting machines, and global enterprise networks. His talk will provide a foundation to assist domestic abuse victims in comprehensively removing the abuser’s access.
Kenrick Bagnall has been a member of the Toronto Police Service since April of 2006 and currently serves as an investigator in the Coordinated Cyber Centre (C3) of Intelligence Services. Before law enforcement, Kenrick spent twenty years in the Information Technology industry primarily in the financial services sector, and has held the positions of Senior Network Analyst, Information Technology Manager and Senior Vice President of Information Technology. Kenrick teaches Cybersecurity at George Brown College and lectures on the University of Toronto GPLLM Innovation, Law and technology program. Kenrick has also been published in Cybersecurity in Canada, A Guide to Best Practices, Planning and Management and is a regular contributor to Canadian Security Magazine.
Brian Chase is a licensed attorney, adjunct professor of law, and director of digital forensics at ArcherHall. He is a frequent speaker at both legal and forensics conferences on the intersection of digital forensics and the law. Brian has both tried cases as an attorney and testified in cases as an expert witness.
Anna Chung is a Principal Researcher at Unit 42, the global threat intelligence team at Palo Alto Networks. She works at the crossroads of cyber threat intelligence, underground economics, and cyber behavior analysis. Anna has a BA degree from the Department of Diplomacy, National Chengchi University, and a master’s degree in international communication from American University, Washington D.C. With her social science background, Anna believes security issues are a combination of technical abuse and offensive human behaviors. She believes a mature cyber threat intelligence program should capture both major elements, enabling timely detection and incident responses. In addition, Anna is actively building mentoring partnerships encouraging women with or without a technical background to be part of the information security industry.
From the computer screen to the television screen, Julie Clegg has crafted her life’s work around investigation, profiling and technology, combining her knowledge of cyber-psychology with two decades of online investigations experience to bring to light those that hide in the digital shadows and cause disruption, distress or terror. A former police detective and undercover operator, criminal and geographic profiler, an active search and rescue volunteer, a passionate human rights advocate, a global educator and an avid world traveler, Julie approaches her life and work with determination and a relentless sense of adventure. She is driven by a desire to help every person live a life free of victimization, oppression, and fear. Along with her trusted team of leading global experts in digital and mobile forensics, data analytics, forensic psychology, and organized crime, Julie uses all-source intelligence with a focus on online OSINT, social media intelligence, and ethical and proportionate practices for covert and undercover investigations to solve complex problems for corporations, governments, law enforcement and non-profits worldwide. In a world of increasingly artificial intelligence, Julie brings human solutions to digital investigations.
Joe Cummins has focused his career as an offensive cybersecurity professional, and now as a seasoned serial Entrepreneur within North America’s cyber ecosystem. Having led CybernetIQ (formerly Red Tiger Security) since inception in 2009 to now in 2020 developing technology from tradecraft found at the grassroots of the skills gap, Joe is constantly looking for ways to bridge the SecEng and SecOps trades. Over the course of his career, Joe has repeatedly built and sold a technologies focused on solving real-world cybersecurity challenges and bridging the gaps between IT and OT with products such as TOTEM (Building Management Systems), FOCAL (Unmanned Data Storage), RECON (Social Intelligence) as well as other disruptive technologies that have been developed under contract to various Private and Public organizations. Now most recently with CLAW – providing attack surface analysis for the ever evolving cyber battlefield.
Over the past decade and a half, Alex Dow has helped organizations increase situational awareness and enable better prevention, detection and responsive capabilities. Alex has worked within three mission critical Security Operation Centres (SOC), designed and operated the Vancouver 2010 Olympics honeypot and recently architected and built out the situational awareness platform for a large federal government environment. Working within protected “B” environments for the majority of his career, Alex was staunchly opposed to cloud technologies, however over the course of the past few years he has come to the realization that cloud can actually enable better security than traditional IT, if you let it. Beyond Alex’s day job, has taught Cloud Security for The SANS institute, runs a not-for-profit and produces an annual cyber security conference: BSides Vancouver.
Keith Elliott is a Partner and CEO, of Reed Research Investigations Limited. He holds an Honours Degree in Law & Security Administration and is a Certified International Investigator (CII). Keith’s entertaining, humorous and energetic speaking style has made him a sought-out speaker, with over 50 public speaking engagements globally, during the last three years. A Professional Investigator with over 27 years of experience, Mr. Elliott has practical involvement in identifying risk and investigating frauds relating to; criminal enterprise, employment, health care, insurance services, fake deaths, disability, cyber scams, as well as various payment platforms on-line services, around the world.
Ronen Engler, Senior Manager Technology & Innovation, applying over 20 years of engineering experience, holding Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from NYU and handling special projects for 10 years now @ Cellebrite.
Yuri Gubanov is a renowned digital forensics expert. He is a frequent speaker at industry-known conferences such as HTCIA, EnFuse/CEIC, FT-Day, CAC, CACP, DataFocus, ICDDF, and others. Yuri organizes his own Belka-Day digital forensic conference in Russia. Yuri is the Founder and CEO of Belkasoft, the manufacturer of digital forensic software empowering police departments in more than 130 countries. With years of experience in digital forensics and security domain, Yuri led forensic training courses for multiple law enforcement departments in several countries. Besides, Yuri is a senior lecturer in St-Petersburg State University.
Arman Gungor is a certified computer forensic examiner (CCE) and software developer. He is the CEO of Metaspike where he oversees the development of cloud forensics tools, and the director of forensics at Meridian Discovery where he assists corporations and law firms with forensic evidence preservation, digital forensics investigations, and eDiscovery matters. He has been appointed by courts as a neutral computer forensics expert as well as a neutral eDiscovery consultant. Arman is passionate about doing digital forensics research, developing new investigative techniques, and creating software to support them.
Jeff Hamm has worked 10 years at Mandiant as a Technical Director helping improve internal process in Managed Defense services. Previously, he was in the Europe region managing an IR team. He also works as an assistant professor at NTNU in Gjøvik. There he provides intense practical labs based on IR.
Daniel Heltemes of the Arizona Department of Public Safety Sergeant has twenty years of Law Enforcement experience. He started his career in 2000, as a dispatcher with the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office. In 2002, he became a police officer for the Benson Police Department. In 2006, he lateraled to the Arizona Department of Public Safety as a Trooper assigned to Metro Phoenix. Since then he has held numerous assignments including Highway Patrol, Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement, and worked narcotics on the Highway Interdiction Team. In 2013, he became a Detective and was assigned to the Major Crimes District, Special Investigations Unit. In 2015, he was promoted to Sergeant and assigned to Internal Affairs. In 2016, he was selected to establish and create a Facial Recognition Section at the Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center (ACTIC). He now oversees the Department’s very successful statewide Facial Recognition program including supervising Audio/Video and Facial Recognition examiners from several different agencies.
Chet Hosmer serves a Professor of Practice at the University of Arizona in the Cyber Operations program where he is teaching Python andand Machine Learning. Chet is also the Founder of Python Forensics, Inc. which is focused on the collaborative development of open source investigative technologies using Python and other popular scripting languages.
Dusan Kozusnik, CEO, Compelson Labs Dusan graduated with a master’s degree in Computer Science as MSC with a focus on computer security, and during his studies founded Compelson Labs in 1991. He has been the chief architect of security software and hardware products since then. In addition to creating a few worldwide successful products, with his team Dusan built the MOBILedit platform, starting modern phone forensics as we know it today.
Keith Lockhart serves as the Director of Training for Oxygen Forensics, Inc. in Alexandria, VA (U.S.A). In that capacity, he provides training vision and curriculum continuity to the Oxygen Forensics user base while generating courses with customer success as their main focus. After 20 years in the DFIR education industry, Keith is globally recognized as an instructor, SME and peer who might not know the answer but will certainly help you find it!
Julie Lewis, President, CEO & Founder of Digital Mountain, has over 20 years of experience working in the high technology industry & has been a long-time user of social media. One of the key focus areas of her company is on social media investigations, preservations & monitoring. Prior to founding Digital Mountain, Julie worked at VERITAS Software with next-generation storage, security and search companies. She is a member of HTCIA, American Bar Association, Sedona Conference's Working Groups on E-mail Management and Archiving (WG1) and Data Security and Privacy Liability (WG11), Cloud Security Alliance and has received her EnCE (Encase Certification in Computer Forensics). Julie is founding Co-Chair of the Silicon Valley Chapter of Women in eDiscovery.
Evan Lyons is currently the Manager, Business Analytics, Solutions and Disruptions in the Enforcement Branch at the Ontario Securities Commission where he specializes in the integration of cloud based technologies and business analytics. His specialty involves merging the collective value of both emerging technologies and analytics to provide the organization with robust data solutions. In creating such insights, the organization is able to make stronger business decisions based on strategic knowledge of both the organization internally, and the market as a whole. He currently focuses on implementing customized solutions to offer enhancements to investigations staff, and works to assess tools available on the market to meet the needs of the branch.
Ilia Lvovski is a Senior Computer Forensic Analyst with the Government of Canada, a Digital Forensics instructor with the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and a VP of the West Canadian HTCIA chapter. Ilia specializes in advanced forensic data recovery methods and techniques from failed hard/SSD drives, flash devices and mobile phones.
Mary Mara currently serves as an Attorney-Advisor (Instructor) with the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). In this position, she instructs both new and experienced law enforcement officers on wide variety of complex legal issues facing law enforcement today such as legal aspects regarding use of force, Constitutional law, officer liability, courtroom testimony, and federal criminal law and court procedures. Prior to joining FLETC in 2017, Ms. Mara worked as a litigation attorney in the Detroit metro area for twenty-eight years. She spent the first eleven years out of law school working as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, prosecuting state law crimes on behalf of the people of the State of Michigan. In this position, she appeared at thousands of court hearings on behalf of crime victims and tried more than 100 capital felony cases with a special emphasis upon the investigation and prosecution of child sexual predators. Upon leaving the prosecutor’s office, Ms. Mara took a position as Chief of Civil Litigation with the Office of Oakland County Corporation Counsel. While serving in this role for the next seventeen years, Ms. Mara assumed first-chair responsibility for all aspects of complex civil litigation involving Oakland County with a special emphasis upon the vigorous defense of Oakland County Sheriff Deputies when sued in State or Federal Court for alleged civil rights violations arising under 42 U.S.C. 1983. When citizen complaints were received by the Sheriff’s Office regarding alleged Deputy misconduct, Ms. Mara provided guidance to the Sheriff regarding the proper scope and direction of internal affairs investigations. When deputies were disciplined or terminated as a result of alleged misconduct, Ms. Mara represented the County and the Sheriff at ensuing labor arbitration hearings. Ms. Mara has been a member of the Michigan Bar since 1991. She has also been admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is a graduate of Michigan State University (B.A. James Madison College), Michigan State University College of Law (J.D., magna cum laude) and the Thomas M. Cooley Law School (L.L.M. with honors, Homeland and National Security Law).
​Henry W. McGowen is an Attorney-Advisor (Senior Instructor) in the Artesia Legal Division of the Office of Chief Counsel at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) in Artesia, NM. His role includes providing legal instruction for federal law enforcement candidates in the classroom as well as in operational skills and use of force labs. He is the legal point of contact for unmanned aerial craft at the Artesia campus for FLETC. Mr. McGowen also provides education for external audiences through developing and delivering webinars as well as export training events for federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement officers. Additionally, he provides instruction for judges, prosecutors and senior law enforcement officers from around the world at the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) in Roswell, NM. Prior to joining FLETC, Mr. McGowen taught international comparative law at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, TX. Mr. McGowen also spent a decade abroad working in international legal development and judicial reform programs supported by the U.S. Department of State. He has spent many years in the criminal justice system serving as a municipal judge, a state prosecutor, a briefing attorney for a U.S. District Judge and as an attorney in private practice. Mr. McGowen is a graduate of the University of Texas where he earned a BA in Economics in 1988; from St. Mary’s University School of Law where he earned a Juris Doctor in 1994; and from the University of Notre Dame where he earned an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership in 2009.
Tarah Melton, GCFA, GREM, is a digital forensics examiner with a background in the Federal Government, supporting customers focused on counterterrorism, cyber defense, and incident response. Her responsibilities included forensic lab management and conducting digital forensic investigations in both the US as well as overseas, completing two deployments to Afghanistan. She holds a BS in Digital Forensics from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. Tarah is currently a Forensic Consultant at Magnet Forensics, where she provides support to customers with her combined knowledge of Magnet tools and digital forensics, as well as assisting with the development of Magnet products.
IT expert and co-founder of Ventura Enterprise Risk Management and Ventura Academy, Domingo Montanaro has a success story in mitigating cyber risk and combat computer crimes since 1999. He has created cells of expertise, investigation and intelligence in government institutions and body, as well as trained police and military models in many countries (Brazil, USA, Colombia, Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia) throughout his career. He worked for a large Brazilian bank in the investigation and expert technical assistance of the first prison sentence for crime on the Internet in Brazil, in 2004. Since then, he has led investigations that have resulted in more than 200 prisons of criminals. A pioneer in Cyber Intelligence in Brazil, in 2013 it innovated by creating in his startup a collect and analysis platform, which in 2017 won the EED seal (“Strategic Defense Company”) of the Ministry of Defense of Brazil. In the last 18 years, in addition to solved complex cases, he has also given over 50 lectures in 16 countries on his successful research and actions, including in collaboration with specialized police officers. Teacher in renowned Brazilian’s schools such as FGV-SP, FGV-RJ, Mackenzie, USP, Insper, Escola Paulista de Advocacia and FAAP, Domingo Montanaro teach about cyber risk and technical expertise in electronic. He’s co-authors of "LGPD - Manual de Implementação" " (2019) and "Data Protection Officer: Teoria e Prática de Acordo com a LGPD e o GDPR " (2020) both publisher by Thomson Reuters.
Eric Oldenburg recently retired from the Phoenix Police Department after serving for 24 years. Eric was assigned to the Arizona Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force for 15 years. During that time, he held the position of HTCIA Arizona Chapter President for two years. Eric worked as both an investigator and computer forensic examiner and received his Certified Computer Forensic Examiner (CFCE) certification in 2008 from the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS). Eric, along with other members of the Arizona ICAC, created a workflow policy for forensic examiners to focus on Victim ID and minimize investigator’s and forensic examiner’s traumatic exposure to child exploitative material, using Project VIC and Griffeye Analyze.
Nick Pailthorpe is based in Toronto and is helping to build and lead Uber Canada’s Law Enforcement Operations Team in conjunction with the global head office in San Francisco. He is responsible for growing the awareness of Uber's law enforcement services externally and working cross-functionally with internal teams to support investigations, data privacy, process improvements and policy development. Prior to joining us in Canada, Nick spent 3 years in Amsterdam covering Europe, Africa and the Middle East for Uber in the same role. Nick used to be a Detective in the Metropolitan Police, UK, where he worked for ten years in various specialist commands. At the conclusion of his service, he worked in the Metropolitan Police Cyber Crime unit where he was a Digital Media Investigator.
Kirby Plessas is founder and CEO of Plessas Experts Network, Inc., an Open Source Intelligence internet technology and information extraction company specializing in training, researching, and consulting established in 2008. A service-disabled veteran, Kirby established herself as one of the foremost tradecraft experts in OSINT through her career in Military Intelligence and in support of a number of government agencies. In great tribute to her long list of personal and corporate accomplishments in her field, the Department of Homeland Security declared Kirby Plessas an OSINT Technical Expert.
Pier Luigi Putton is a part of the SecurCube team, a company specialized in the design, creation, and development of digital forensics technology focused on Call Detail Record analytics and Base Transceiver Station real coverage surveys and examination. His role in training law enforcement specialists and members of Universities with digital forensics programs, is part of SecurCube’s objective of sharing experiences, know-how and technological advancements globally. He holds degrees in mechanical engineering and industrial design and has worked in developing prototype solutions for various industries ranging from aerospace to the biomedical industry. His career has also focused on academic teaching and student development.
Rob Roj, Senior Solutions Architect at Shape Security, has over 20 years of early stage start up experience with over 7 years within the Cybersecurity and Identity space. He has been with Shape when there were only three customers and has consulted with F500 companies on incorporating an authentication security strategy that spans across IT, Security, Fraud and User Experience disciplines. Today, Shape Security protects the majority of the B2C F500 enterprises from automated & manual attacks on their Web & Mobile applications.  Shape Security has been honored "Fastest Growing Company in Silicon Valley" and has been recently acquired by F5 Networks for $1B.
Jeff Shackelford is a Product Manager and Digital Forensics Specialist for PassMark Software, makers of OSForensics. As a former Digital Forensics Lab Director, Supervisory Special Agent, and Certified Law Enforcement Instructor, Jeff has over 17 years of law enforcement experience and has been an active member, practitioner and speaker in the digital forensics and cyber-crime communities for the past 13+ years. Now with PassMark Software, Jeff utilizes his prior training and 'real-world' experience to oversee the development of PassMark’s premier digital forensics and e-Discovery toolkit, OSForensics.
Sasha Sheremetov has more than 10 years of experience in the flash memory data recovery and digital forensics field. Since 2013 leading development team at Rusolut. In 2017 developed new technique to extract data from eMMC chips through NAND interface.
Todd G. Shipley, CFE, CFCE, is an American Cyber Security expert and President of the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA). He is a former Cyber Crimes Senior Detective Sergeant and a U.S.A.F combat veteran. He currently speaks and trains globally regarding technology investigations and the Darknet. He is President of Dark Intel, a company that researches and documents the Darknet.
Brandon Wahl is a LEVA certified Forensic Video Technician and manages the support services for the iNPUT-ACE software. As a Forensic Video Technician, Brandon has assisted on hundreds of video-centric investigations and continues to help agencies accurately decode proprietary video file formats, process digital multimedia evidence, and prep demonstratives for court. Brandon has been a member of the iNPUT-ACE team since the launch of the software in 2016 and currently manages the support services for the powerful software program.
Professor Tobi West is Department Chair of Cybersecurity and Computer Information Systems at Coastline College and she teaches cybersecurity and digital forensics courses. She is also a PhD student at Dakota State University, studying in the Cyber Defense program with a research emphasis on forensics and data privacy. She enjoys organizing CyberTech Girls events and GenCyber Girls camp activities for middle school and high school girls to build career pathways and develop their interest in digital forensics, cybersecurity, & technology.
Steve Whalen, CFCE is the Chief Product Officer and co-founder of SUMURI, a leading developer and provider of hardware, software, training and services relating to digital evidence and computer forensics worldwide. Steve has developed and delivered forensic training to thousands of investigators and examiners around the world through organizations such as the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS), the High Technology Crimes International Association (HTCIA) and the US Department of State Anti-Terrorism Assistance Program. Steve is also the developer of the successful Macintosh Forensic Survival Courses and developer of the popular PALADIN, CARBON and RECON forensic software and TALINO workstations. Steve has over 17 years of experience in computer forensics and has provided training throughout North America, Asia, Europe, Middle East, Caribbean, Africa and Oceania. Previously, Steve served over 15 years as a Delaware State Trooper. During that time, he worked as a detective with the Criminal Investigations Unit and served as their first full-time forensic examiner for digital evidence.
John M. Wilson provides consulting and expert witness services to help companies address various matters related to electronic discovery, computer forensics and cybersecurity including leading forensic investigations, cryptocurrency investigations, ensuring proper preservation of evidence items and chain of custody. He develops cybersecurity and forensic workflows and processes for clients including major financial institutions, Fortune 100 companies, AmLaw 100 law firms as well as many other organizations
Ross Worden is a digital security practitioner, forensics investigator, and director at The Crypsis Group. His background includes extensive experience working as a cyber security and fraud/abuse executive and practitioner at several popular tech platforms, including Facebook and Uber.

Jason Azzarella
Jason is on the incident command/digital forensics team at Bechtel with about nine years of cybersecurity experience. He enjoys long walks on virtual beaches and staying home with his dogs, cat and wife. With a driving interest in the future state of cybersecurity, Jason has worked with many different people to help guide their development as an analyst.

David Dang
David Dang, Senior Manager, Data Discovery Solutions of Digital Mountain, has over 25 years of experience in security products, file systems and IT-enabled services of which over a decade has been specifically in computer forensics and electronic discovery. David was Senior Technical Support Lead of Network and Endpoint Security for Symantec prior to joining Digital Mountain. He also served as a Senior Network Security Technologist for Sygate Technologies prior to Symantec's acquisition. David also worked over 10 years at Santa Cruz Operations (SCO), a leader in Unix-based operating systems, holding various positions in Technical Support, Engineering Services and Professional Services. David is also a member of the High Tech Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA).


Andy Joyce
Andy is a former UK law enforcement officer and currently works as the Manager of the TEC unit providing Digital Forensics Servers to the Enforcement Branch at the British Columbia Securities Commission. Andy has been in Digital Forensics for 20 years and his worked on many cases including network intrusions, child exploitation and terrorism investigations. He testified as an expert in Digital Forensics in the Crown courts of the United Kingdom, and the Criminal and Supreme Courts of British Columbia. He holds an MSc in Information Security and Computer Crime. He holds the industry certifications EnCE and CISSP.
