Meet the 2021 Conference Speakers!

Steven Bolt has a long history and decades of experience working in the field of cyber security, spanning public, private, NGO and educational opportunities. From cyber threat intelligence, digital forensics, incident response, malware triage and more, I have worked in several specializations in the field. Over the course of my career I have had the pleasure of working with bleeding edge technologies, applying them to unique challenges and working with outstanding subject matters experts to find or develop protection and response measures to mitigate cyber threats.
Thiago Bordini, Head Cyber Threat Intelligence at Axur, executive with more than 20 years of experience in the cyber intelligence market, working with analysis and prevention of cyber threats and fraud and dissemination of educational content on the subject to professionals and companies. Technical coordinator and postgraduate professor at IDESP.Speaker at several national and international events such as YSTS, EkoParty, H2HC, CIAB, Security BSides, SANS, CoronaCon, among others.Member of the HTCIA (High Technology Crime Investigation Association). Member of the Security BSides Sao Paulo/Brazil organization.
Joel Burleson-Davis is the Chief Technology Officer at SecureLink, a leader in third party risk management based in Austin, Texas. In his current role, Joel is responsible for the technology strategy and operations for SecureLink, overseeing several teams in the organization including R&D, QA, systems engineering, InfoSec, project management, technical operations and customer success. Prior to SecureLink, Joel worked and lived in Australia for six years as an engineering manager. He has a Master of Liberal Arts from St. Edward's University where he focused primarily on philosophy and behavioral sciences as applied to technology.
Pamela Clegg is the Vice President of Financial Investigations for CipherTrace. She works with governments, law enforcement officials, regulators, law firms and financial institutions around the world to conduct cryptocurrency financial investigations and to train and educate officials and employees to understand and investigate financial crimes, money laundering and other criminal activity within the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Prior to joining CipherTrace, Pamela was the Assistant Vice President - BSA and Information Security for First State Bank. She also has over 10 years of international experience with investigations, due diligence and operations mostly in Latin America with the U.S. Government.
Chuck Dodson currently serves as Sr. Director of Market Development at OpenText, The Information Company™, enabling organizations to gain insight through market leading information management solutions. With an extensive background in information technology and public safety, Chuck has spent his career focused on defining and delivering solutions that leverage cloud, analytic and security technologies, people, and process improvements. Having completed his MBA in Information Technology, obtained a degree in Military Studies-Terrorism and completed an executive program in Product Strategy at Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, Chuck brings a wealth of education and practical experience in these areas. Chuck served in the US Army Special Forces for over 22 years as a Battalion Operations Sergeant Major and Intelligence [S2] Non-Commissioned Officer-in-Charge, focused on intelligence, counter insurgency, and counter narcotic operations in Asia and Latin America.
Rob Douglas (rob@skopenow.com) is the CEO and Co-founder of Skopenow. He is a product and data enthusiast and an OSINT expert. Skopenow is an analytical search engine that uses social media and open web data to detect threat, risk, and fraud.
Eugene is a Vice President at Kroll, Cyber Risk. He is a principal investigator focused on digital forensics and incident response. Eugene has presented at numerous conferences and enjoys sharing his knowledge and learning new forensic techniques. Away from investigations Eugene enjoys, being a father, gardening, bushcraft, and astronomy.
John Grim has over 19 years of experience leading investigations of data breaches and cybersecurity incidents within the government and civilian security sectors. Currently, as a Distinguished Architect, John leads the Verizon Threat Research Advisory Center (VTRAC) Research, Development, and Innovation effort. In this role, John focuses on all aspects of cybersecurity incidents, performing digital forensic examinations, advising on data breach containment and eradication efforts, and creating response preparedness training and breach simulation exercises for customers worldwide. Prior to Verizon, John served 12 years with the U.S. Army as a Counterintelligence Special Agent investigating security incidents.
Lynita began her training as an enlisted Computer and Communications Specialist in the U.S. Air Force with the Air Force Pentagon Communications Agency (AFPCA) in Washington, DC. After enlistment Lyn continued her career in both the Federal and Local Law Enforcement before joining the corporate information security sector. She is a Champlain College alum with an undergraduate degree in Computer and Digital Forensics and more than a decade of experience.
Chet Hosmer is the Assistant Professor of Practice at the University of Arizona and is the Founder of Python Forensics, Inc. a non-profit organization focused on the collaborative development of open-source investigative technologies using Python and other popular scripting languages. Chet is the author of Seven recent Books: PowerShell and Python Together, Defending IoT Infrastructures with a Raspberry Pi; Passive Python Network Mapping; Python Forensics; Integrating Python with Leading Computer Forensic Platforms; Data Hiding; and Executing Windows Command Line Investigations.
Jessica Hyde is an experienced forensic examiner in both the government and commercial sectors. She currently serves as a Consultant to Magnet Forensics where she previously held the role of Director of Forensics; is an Adjunct Professor teaching Mobile Forensics in the graduate program at George Mason University, where she achieved an MS in Computer Forensics; and the owner of forensics consulting firm, Hexordia. Jessica is the host of Cache Up podcast where she interviews digital forensics practitioners. She is also involved in several community efforts including as a volunteer for the Marine Corps Cyber Auxiliary, Chair of DFIR Review, 1st Vice President of the New York Metro High Tech Crime International Association Chapter, advisory board for Cyber Sleuths Lab, and a member of the Editorial Board for the Forensic Science International: Digital Investigations Journal. Her previous roles included performing forensic examinations as a Senior Mobile Exploitation Analyst for Basis Technology at EY, and Senior Electrical Engineer at American Systems. Jessica is also proud to be a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Registered Patent Attorney Herbert Joe is a Board Certified Forensic Examiner with 5 degrees, including 3 science degrees (B.S., M.A., M.S. [Cybersecurity]) and 2 law degrees (J.D., LL.M.). He has been involved in the forensic analyses of audio, acoustic, voice and video evidence for the past 34 years, and has testified in state and federal courts in civil and criminal cases throughout the U.S., as well as overseas. His law practice specialty is Intellectual Property, and he also has testified as an expert witness in patent law in patent infringement cases. Mr. Joe is an Adjunct Graduate Faculty (Law) member, and has consulted for ABC, BBC and FOX-TV, CSI:Miami, The Wall Street Journal, the Associated Press, TMZ, People Magazine, and Dr. Phil.
Julie Lewis, President, CEO and Founder of Digital Mountain, has over 30 years of experience working in the high technology industry and has been a long-time user of social media. Beyond cybersecurity, computer forensics and eDiscovery, one of the key focus areas of her company is on social media investigations, preservations and monitoring. Julie earned an MBA under fellowship from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and a BA in both Business Economics and Sociology from the University of California at Santa Barbara. She is a member of the High Tech Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA), American Bar Association, Sedona Conference's Working Groups on E-mail Management and Archiving (WG1) and Data Security and Privacy Liability (WG11), Cloud Security Alliance and has received her EnCE (Encase Certification in Computer Forensics). Julie is founding Co-Chair of the Silicon Valley Chapter of Women in eDiscovery, an Advisor to Techno Security and co-author of The Sedona Conference Primer on Social Media.
Mike Lombardi is Mandiants Senior Manager delivering incident response services to a variety of digital forensics engagements nationally and internationally. Mr. Lombardi presently volunteers his time as the Arizona chapters President of the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA), as the Phoenix chapters Membership Director of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), and as a member of the State Bar of Arizonas Technology Committee. He has spoken at local and national meetings, including the SANS Blue Team and SIEM summits; presented alongside the FBI; holds a variety of certifications; and has been featured both as a courtroom consultant and as a law firm cybersecurity consultant in Law Technology News.
Amanda Mahan joined the Oxygen Forensics, Inc. Training team in 2018. Before her Oxygen career, Amanda specialized in mobile forensics and data analysis for Autauga County Sheriff’s Office in Prattville, Alabama. In that role, Amanda built extensive experience and a successful conviction record as an online undercover investigator. She also orchestrated law enforcement and Board of Education collaboration in an effort to educate children against potential online threats. She is currently a Board Member of Central Alabama Crime Stoppers, and a previous ICAC Task Force member who worked alongside the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, FBI, Alabama Attorney General’s Office, and HSI. Amanda’s continued knowledge quest includes participating in training events with the National White Collar Crime Center, the National Computer Forensic Institute and the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists.
Doug Metz is a Global Incident Manager for a Fortune 200. He has 15 years of experience in Incident Response, Forensics and Consulting serving Public, Private and DoD sectors. Doug is a member of the Delaware Valley-Philly chapter of the HTCIA.
Nilay Mistry is the first faculty of Digital Forensics and Cyber Security at World's First of Its Kind, National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar Campus, Gujarat, Government of India formerly known as Gujarat Forensic Sciences University. He is also coordinator at Center For Futuristic Defense Studies.
Mr. Rasmussen is CTO of Abacode, a Florida-based company providing managed cybersecurity and compliance programs to businesses across all industries. He is also an adjunct professor of cybersecurity at the University of South Florida. For nearly 30 years, he has performed R&D of cyber solutions and built cyber services teams for government and commercial customers.
Todd G. Shipley, CFE, CFCE, is an American Cyber Security expert and President of the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA). He is a former Cyber Crimes Senior Detective Sergeant and a U.S.A.F combat veteran. He currently speaks and trains globally regarding technology investigations and the Darknet. He is President of Dark Intel, a company that researches and documents the Darknet.
Devo Vendor Showcase Speaker - Jason Mical is probably best known as the “Father of the SilentRunner® technology”, the industry’s first full packet capture, network forensics solution of its kind, developed by the NSA and Raytheon. He is also the co-creator of the Resolution1/Fidelis Endpoint Platform, the industry’s first EDR solution. He assists clients in such areas as electronic intercepts, intrusion analysis, malware eradication, forensic investigations, incident response, security standards and guidelines. Jason also offers his expertise and consulting services to clients and other audiences on issues of both cyber and physical security investigations. Jason has more than 30 years of experience in telecommunications fraud prevention, physical security management, and cybersecurity investigations. During his career, he has developed and implemented overall cybersecurity, physical security, forensic investigation and fraud control programs for several global organizations and managed lawful interception operations to support federal agencies. He has developed security and fraud awareness training seminars for employees in private industry, as well as federal, state and local law enforcement. Jason has been a member of the FBI Infraguard, United States Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force, ISSA, HTCIA, ASIS, ANSIR, and CTIA Fraud Task Forces.

  • Brendan Hooke is a First Lieutenant with the Fairfax County (Va.) Police Department. He currently serves as the School Liaison Commander and has prior experience investigating and supervising major crimes, organized crime and narcotics, and digital forensics units. He holds a master’s degree in high technology crime investigation from George Washington University.

  • James J. Emerson is Vice President at the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C). Jim has more than 43 years of law enforcement experience, with an 18 focus on cybercrime investigation, computer forensics, and related criminal intelligence. Jim has trained law enforcement executives, criminal investigators, and prosecutors regarding digital evidence and forensics. Jim has been the Chairman of the International Association of Chiefs of Police Computer Crime and Digital Evidence Committee for over ten years and recently served on a NCMEC task force to their Advisory Council.

  • Craig Guymon is an experienced sales engineer and technical account manager with an IT and criminal justice background. He has been responsible for architecting, installing, and demonstrating products for digital forensic investigations, working with federal government and state law enforcement agencies. In his current role at Magnet Forensics, Craig directs the Solutions Consulting team and provides technical expertise to customers. He also works closely with Product Management to consult on product functionality. Craig is a registered private investigator in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
