HTCIA continues to monitor the changing landscape involving the CDC guidelines in regards to COVID-19 safety protocols while at the Renaissance and in Phoenix. As guidelines change and cities across America and World are opening, we are excited about what this means for the HTCIA Conference on September 26-29, but want you to know we are creating an environment for you to be comfortable. This is a very quick changing time, and we will continue to evaluate what is best for the guests at HTCIA’s Conference & Expo to ensure we meet safely, and you are comfortable. We will keep all participants updated as we get closer to the event. Your well-being is HTCIA’s top priority. Here’s what we’re doing to protect your health and peace of mind so you can focus on networking, connecting with this year’s exhibitors, and attending educational sessions!

HTCIA International Conference & Expo re-confirms that we are moving forward with the annual event on September 26-29 at the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel. As COVID-19 will continue to impact the world for the foreseeable future, HTCIA is implementing cleaning and safety guidelines, specific to the event so we can get back to meeting in person this year in Phoenix, AZ. HTCIA event guidelines, coupled with the Marriott Commitment to Clean, ensure attendees, sponsors, and vendors that all possible health precautions will be taken, and to provide the confidence in knowing that their safety is our top priority.

HTCIA will comply with all local, state, and CDC mandates (e.g., mask mandates, limits on gathering sizes, etc.) during the conference dates. Please review the following guidelines for the upcoming conference in Phoenix:
- HTCIA will require attendees at its in-person events to adhere to good personal hygiene and infection control practices, including;
- Participants are required to wear masks indoors, in all meeting and meal areas, unless consuming food or beverages.
- Participants are not required to wear masks outside. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask outdoors, please do so.
- Participants are required to cover coughs and sneezes, with a tissue or an elbow if possible.
- Participants are recommended not to touch their eyes, nose, or mouth during events to the extent possible.
- Participants are recommended to frequently and thoroughly wash or sanitize their hands. Participants should sanitize their hands upon arriving at an event, and upon departing the event.
- Venue will provide attendees with a place to wash their hands. HTCIA will also provide alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol at its events for use by participants, located at the registration desk.
- HTCIA encourages attendees to practice social distancing when possible.
- HTCIA encourages attendees to limit physical contact, such as handshaking.
- HTCIA will maintain regular housekeeping practices at the check-in area, including routine cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces, equipment, and other elements of the check-in area.
- In the conduct of its events, HTCIA will make every effort to keep attendees as safe as possible during the event check-in process and will change its regular event check-in practices and procedures as necessary. Wherever possible, HTCIA will work to make the check-in process contactless as possible as it can be.
- HTCIA will not permit attendees at any event that are openly displaying signs of illness to enter the event or remain at it and requires that participants not attend HTCAI events if they are sick, or have been sick within the 14 days leading up to the event.
